Hello Beloved Readers
Sit back with a nice hot chocolate (maybe Mint hot chocolate) and get comfy, because winter seems to be clearing out. Also because I have a nice long review full of pictures.
The mint nail polish craze is in full effect now and I'd like to show you just one of the many. My review today is a Charlotte Russe color and as some of you may know, these don't actually have real names. This one is JDE.NAIL.CLR (Jade Nail Color) 68 6801 or as I have named her 'Ande's One Night Stand.' First of all: Bottle loving, check out the shimmer in the second photo!
Enlarge this next one... in fact, enlarge them all.Ande is said to be a dupe or very similar to Chanel 'Jade' and Claire's 'Dream Catcher' neither of which I have, so check out the links.
The next three pics are 4 coats, no top coat in different lighting. Here's the brush. It's pretty average, but it's long and skinny and simple and I like it, also check out the nice long handle, I love that. Review:
Color - I love this color and I think everyone will. Mint is IN for nail polish and I've been looking for other ways to incoporate mint into my wardrobe and my life. Spring is almost here and I think I'll be wearing this more than Mint Candy Apple. Also, I love the mint green micro shimmer that makes this one not a creme.
Formula - Surprisingly great for a cheap adolescent clothing store. Not that I'm knocking CR, I love it, however usually nailpolish isn't their main concern. And while I'm comparing it to Mint Candy Apple, the formula was much better!
Value - If it were any cheaper it'd be free. Okay, not quite, but $3.50 and .5 FL OZ and I think CR is in just about every mall. If not, I think you could find it pretty easily in a mall near you. This is one of those polishes that is too hard to believe for the price, like Pure Ice. The only thing I don't care for is the bottle. The letters were chipping off in the store as you can see in some pictures. I know it's little, but I think some of you will agree that the polish is almost as important as the polish itself.
Okay, so there's my opinion. I.Love.This.Polish. I have nothing else like it, but like I said, it's supposed to be similar to some others. The formula surprised me! Yes, I did 4 coats, 3 was just not perfect enough for me, but you experts could probably get away with 3. But for a $3.50 polish, run, don't walk, to get it!
Sorry this was so long, however I felt this needed a full review, I love doing reviews! So what does everyone thing? Anyone else have it? Does anyone have trouble getting it? This is the first posting to the Bloggers Network, any new readers out there?
